SPEEDING IN SUNSET RIDGE
Speeding is prohibited in Sunset Ridge and is a danger to children & pets, not to mention the rest of us. Neighbors are concerned that speed limits and stop signs are not being observed. The board has been asked about installing speed bumps in the neighborhood. Approximately two years ago, the same issue was brought to vote and neighbors voted against installing speed bumps. This may, however, change if traffic signs are not observed.
Additionally, since these are private roads, the Jefferson County Sheriff cannot ticket neighbors for speeding. It is up to us to monitor our own driving. Attached is a powerpoint presentation that was used as a discussion document for the last vote on speeding.
