DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE

The following information has been excerpted from publication distributed by the Colorado Division of Wildlife Protection, specifically, the brochure, Too Close For Comfort, How to Avoid Conflicts with Wildlife in the City:

"....In most situations, people and wildlife can co-exist.  The key is to respect the wildness of wildlife.  "Wildlife" is just that - wild.  Most dangerous and potential harmful encounters occur because people fail to leave the animals alone.  Wildlife should not be harassed, captured, domesticated or --in most cases-- fed.  Intentional or inadvertent feeding is the major cause of most wildlife problems.  It is illegal to feed deer, ..., and elk.

....It is illegal to feed deer in Colorado.  People may be fined  $50 for doing so."

If you have further questions regarding this matter, you can contact the Colorado Division of Wildlife at 303-291-7327.

Please use your common sense and refrain from feeding the wildlife in Sunset Ridge.
